Rio Trees has donated a TWENTY FOOT community Christmas tree which will be lit at Troy Park immediately following the parade. It’s an entire day of holiday festivities, with RLERPD hosting Breakfast with Santa and a Holiday Crafts Faire at 9am, and the RLE Community Theater premiering “A RioVerta Carol” at 2pm. The Rio Linda/Elverta Chamber of Commerce will be hosting cocoa and Santa at the Depot building. Of course, our parade kicks off at 6pm and we expect it to run approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to go the length of M Street to Oak Lane.
The organizing committee will meet at 6pm on November 28th and December 5th at A-1 Storage, 1346 Q Street in Rio Linda. All are welcome to attend, participate and exchange information.
A drop-dead date for parade entries hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s coming up FAST. If you have not submitted your entry for this year, please please please get it in as soon as you can!
