Participant Information

Parade Check In: Saturday December 14, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.

You will receive Scheduled check in times and locations. Keep an eye on your emails for details.

MANDATORY Parade Entry meeting Date/Time/Location will be E-MAILED to all entries. Any Entry not attending will not be entered in the Parade.

Rio Linda Christmas Light Parade Starts at 6:00 p.m. sharp at West 2nd & M St.

  1. Parade Route STARTS at West 2nd Street, east on M Street continuing to Curved Bridge Road.
  2. All floats shall be in perfect working order
  3. Each Parade Number must be Clearly seen from the RIGHT side of the vehicle/entry.
  4. The size of each vehicle and/or float shall not exceed the dimensions of the street route.

Attention All Entries: Do not violate California Vehicle Codes.

For the safety of everyone: No throwing of objects including candy from moving vehicles/floats.

No dangerous stunts or activities allowed.

You may walk along the route and pass out candy, souvenirs or flyers.

All dogs must be leashed at all times.

All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Please submit a short synopsis (35 words or less) of your entry and any information you would like to be announced.

Judging will take place only at the judges reviewing stand in front of Troy Park.

Due to time constraints, please keep your announcement/any routines/performances to less than 15 seconds.

Equestrian units will be last in the parade including any horse/pony drawn vehicles or floats.

Parade Awards will be presented Immediately following the Parade in Troy Park at 7th and M Street across from Nuway Market.
